Monster Love-Dilly Beans-DT card for The Corrosive Challenge

Hi everyone! Just a quick share here as I'm dealing with a head cold  as I'm writing this blog post and I'm feeling very foggy. This is the my latest card for The Corrosive Challenge Blog.
Our sponsor once again is Dilly Beans Stamps and
the challenge theme this fortnight is Head Gear,
so use an image with something on their head (hat, bow, barrette, etc) and your good to go!
I've chosen to use this adorable Monster Love digi.
The Dilly Bean images just steal my heart and they are a favorite of my grandchildren.
I know there's more details to share but I'll have to come back and add them when I'm feeling better.
Right now I can't even think of what stamp I used for the sentiment!
If you have a creation that fits the theme be sure to link up at TCCB for a chance to win 3 Dilly Bean images of your choice.
Hugs!

Quirky Tag Swap-Matchbox Shadowbox

Hi everyone!
Today I'm sharing the tags I made for April's tag swap.
This months theme is Quirky!
I used the new TH matchbox diecut to construct these fun little shadow box tags.
After I had folded, taped, and constructed these boxes I sprayed them with Dylusion's ink sprays.
I also sprayed some seam binding in the same three colors of ink, which were Bubblegum Pink, Fresh Lime, and Crushed Grape.
I added a strip of Chalk tape to the side of the box(as the striking surface) and it can be used to write a To/From on.
The sentiment, "Mostly I just sit around all day being fabulous" is from a Dylusions stamp set called, Say it how it is.
The adorable rhinestone accented cat eye glasses were made from an Impression Obsession die cut called sunglasses, I cut them out of chalkboard cardstock called Chalk Stalk. I love the velvety feel of that stuff! I also used that same paper for the skull diecuts that I put onto the back of the boxes and Those were cut out with a Spellbinders diecut.
I used a TH Rosette die with some Echo Park paper and made a lovely rosette.
The retro image is from a collage I bought on Etsy.
I added a bauble, a wired bead, and some Doodle Twine to the tag.
I also used glitter glue around the pic and sprinkled some Stampendous Silver Halo Mix to the inside of the box.
I used Clip It hooks as my tag hangar and added some gathered embossed sheer ribbon to the back side.
I added a couple of turquoise rhinestones, some rock candy glitter to the nylon butterflies and pushed a little heart pin into the paper rosette.
Detail! I like details, that's what makes it fun for me.
I was quite surprised and impressed with how fun and easy these shadow box tags were to create.
Next months tag swap theme is Fairytale and I'm still working on ideas for that one.
I don't have a pic of all the tags from this swap as a couple of ladies didn't get their tags to the swap.
Here's a pic of the group tags minus 2 tags.
Thanks for stopping in! Hugs!

Rock Star-Kenny K Rock Dude

Hi everyone! Today I'm sharing the card I made for a good friend who just turned 50!
He's a rock star to his life long friends.
My husband has known him for over 35 years so he's a pretty big deal to us.
He plays lead in a band called The Crawl out in Victoria B.C. and we're hoping to make a bike trip out that way sometime this Summer and hopefully hear his band play.
The birthday boy and his beautiful girlfriend are visiting out West here for a few days so a group of his long time friends all got together to celebrate the big 50!
On my husbands request I colored the guitar like Eddy Van Halen's guitar. As I googled many images of Eddy and his guitar I wondered if he ever wore a shirt?! The very first concert I ever went to was a Van Halen concert when I was 15.
All I remember about that concert is Eddy's skin tight red pleather pants, and he came out on stage swinging on a rope!
I decided to give this Kenny K image, called, Rocker Dude a tye dyed shirt because our friend James is a little wonderfully eclectic. (:
I used a mini scrabble piece on this card and found out from James that 8 is his favorite number and there just happens to be an 8 on the J scrabble tile.
This card was a big hit with him! I was so thrilled!
The papers are from a DCWV Rock Star Stack and the glittered swirls were made from rainbow glitter cardstock and the TH elegant flourishes die cut.
I also used a TH skull embellishment, a TH clip embellishment and a bottle cap inc.bottle cap with an epoxy dome. The stamp I used to create the bottle cap sentiment is from the Kraftin Kimmie  Circus Trinkets set.

I Hope you all had a wonderful Easter weekend! We  had an awesome time getting together and celebrating  Resurrection Sunday with our children and grandchildren and then later Sunday night we were able to get together with friends we hadn't seen for many years.
Getting together with old friends is so good for your soul!

And here's an updated picture of me with all 7 of my grandchildren now!!
I am so richly blessed!
Hugs!

I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:

So Pretty-DT card for The Corrosive Challenge Blog

Hello! Today I'm sharing the card I made for the new challenge at The Corrosive Challenge Blog.
Spring is here... well sort of. Yesterday I woke to snow falling and the ground covered in white!
It had all melted by noon and now we are back to the season of brown. We've been having such a lovely Winter this Spring!
A couple of more weeks and we will hopefully start to see some beautiful Spring colors.
Until then we can enjoy
this week's challenge theme which is,
 Pretty Pastels
Our sponsor is The Paper Shelter.
I love TPS images and there are so many adorable digis to choose from. The best part is that you also receive a colored version of the image you order.
I've chosen to work with this adorable image called, So Pretty
The paper is from a Glitz pack. Aren't those miniature dice(die)fun!
I just adore the little die cut glasses, die cut from Impression Obsession! I added some micro rhinestones to the corners.
The sentiment, Heartbreaker is from a Bombshell Stamps set.

Short and sweet today as I'm trying to catch up on some much needed rest.
Be sure to pop on over to TCCB to see what my teamies have come up with and if you have created anything with pastel colors link up for a chance to win a $20 gift certificate for The Paper Shelter.
Until next time! Hugs!
