Morning Dew fairy DT Card For The Corrosive Challenge Blog

Happy New Year everyone!

My spur of the moment get away to the Mayan Riviera in the middle of December was awesome! Even though we had a few days of rain it was wonderful to get out of the snow and cold.
We had a 54 degree change in weather when we left.
I didn't think I would enjoy going away so close to Christmas but I loved getting out of the hustle and bustle and business of the season.
I wasn't able to get any of the dough art ornaments made because the new stove didn't get delivered until December 23rd, and
I didn't send out cards(I'll probably still do that today though),
but we did get the tree up and decorated and I was still able to make a few homemade gifts for some family and friends.
We did all of our shopping in one afternoon at Costco. Toys, books, clothes, gift cards, and food for the feast.
Simply had a wonderful Christmas time!(I'm still singing Christmas carols in my head)
Hope your holidays were fabulous as well.
Today I'm sharing the card I made for the 1st challenge of the New Year, at The Corrosive Challenge Blog.
Challenge #190 is about New Beginnings.
Our wonderful sponsor is A Day For Daisies. I love these digis so much. There are so many I would love to color up!
I've used the digi called Morning Dew Fairy.
My inspiration was a New Day.
The sentiment is from Whimsy Stamps and reads, "Today is filled with promise"
This year I want to focus on each day being new for me and filled with God's promises.
To know what they are and speak them over my life.
To not look back and fret about yesterday but to keep moving forward, to be grateful and make the best of every situation...and to remember that each morning God's mercies are new for me. Great is His faithfulness.(Lamentations 3:22-23)
If you create something that has a "new beginning" theme like Spring, baby, graduation, job, wedding, etc. be sure to link it up and play along with me and the rest of the DT.
You can see more inspiration on the TCCB
All the best in 2014!
Me and all six of my Grandkids on New Year's Eve

I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges

Beautiful card! ADFD has the most gorgeous images, and you use them wonderfully in your art.
I hung my cute cow dough ornament on my tree this year. Thank you!
Great picture of you and all your sweet grandbabies. Still can't believe you're a granny. You look way too young and fabulous!
Hugs,
