Faery Ink-Owl-Sympathy card

Hello darlings!
Today I'm sharing a card I made for my mother and father-in-law, with the passing of my mother-in-law's mom.
Grandma Simmons passed away April 11th.
She was 90 and would have celebrated her birthday again, June 30.
She was born in 1924
Grandma was truly a darling, and she loved owls.

I found this awesome free digi from Faery Ink Group
That's a pretty awesome owl image...and did you read the part about it being a freebie?
It's available to download when you join the fb group.
Pssst! Amanda also has other delightful free digis you can download
You can find more fabulous digis in the Faery Ink shop.
I love these images! There are so many I'd like to color up!
I know, Grandma would have enjoyed all the bright colors in this card.
I made an angel stick pin with beads, and altered a metal flower with rhinestones and more rhinestones!
I made the dark background paper with a Mono Printing technique.(I'm still going to do a tutorial on that)
Since my white Sharpie paint markers have run out of ink and the store was out of stock, I've had to  become creative with adding all the white highlights I love to add.
So, I squeezed out some glossy Dimensional faux Enamel Accents onto a scrap paper and dipped a stylist into it to add the dots.
I'm looking forward to finding a new Sharpie pen soon!
The sentiment,"With Sympathy" is from a SU set.
I also made another card with the same owl image for Grandpa Simmons.
I hope that when he looks at it, he'll think of his darling and smile!

Grandpa's card

I know I wrote the colors down somewhere and if I can find the recipe I will come back to update.
Thanks for stopping in today!

Oddball Art-DT Card for The Corrosive Challenge Blog

Hello darlings!
Today I'm sharing the card I made for the new challenge at The Corrosive Challenge Blog.
Our theme this fortnight is Hip To Be Square!
Simply make a square card and you can participate in this challenge.
Our sponsor is Oddball Art.
I've chosen Sassy and Sissy Cat image to work with.

I recently saw an art tag on Creepy Glowbugg, made by my friend, Glo
which inspired my coloring of  this
 with girl with her cat.
Glo's tag is fabulous and it also features an Oddball Art image!
The die cut spider key I used was a gift from Glo!(she is always spoiling me!)
I fussy cut my image out and placed it over a stamped spider web from an Inkadinkado set(Creepy Crawly)
The background paper is from a KaiserCraft pad and is foil embossed.
I added tons of sparkle with glitter sticker paper and cardstock.
The sentiment, "To A True Friend" is from Whimsy Stamps.
I used a white chalk marker to add some white highlights because the two white Sharpie paint pens I like to use were both dried up, along with every other white pen I own!
I used a lot of colors here but I had them all cleaned up and put away before I had a chance to write out the recipe.
For more inspiration, check out what my teamies have been up to at TCCB and be sure to link up and play along with us!
The random winner will receive 3 digis of their choice.
Also don't forget that each design team member gets to pick a favorite entry to be displayed on the blog at the end of each challenge.
I love seeing what you've been busy creating.
For this challenge it's, Hip to be Square!
Would you like more inspiration? Check out the Oddball Art Blog.
Thanks for popping in today!

Moon Journey-DT Card for The Corrosive Challenge Blog

I added liquid pearls to her hair after I had taken all the pictures.

Hello darlings!
Today I'm sharing the card I made for our new challenge at
Our theme this fortnight is Flower Fantasy.
Use an image with flowers in it or use flowers as an embellishment.
Our sponsor for this challenge is, Ching Chou Kuik digital stamps.
I was over the moon excited to finally be able to color up one of these gorgeous digi stamps!
It was a hard decision but I finally chose Mermaid Journey to work with.
Gorjuss!
The paper is from a Prima Art Jounal pad.
I used quite a bit of Shabby Pink Fran-tage on the edges, so it's kind of hard to even notice  the paper.
In the end it reminded me of a sandy beach so I was good with that.
I added some glitter die cut pieces, and I altered the resin sea shells with more Fran-tage.
The sentiment, "Follow Your Dreams" is from a PSX Pixi Expression set.
I also added some paper flowers, sugar dots, vintage jewelry pieces, beads, baubles, and a nylon butterfly...
...and just a little splattering of rhinestone bling, and pearls.
The image and background are both colored with Copic markers.

All the snow has disappeared from the yard this week!!
I do believe Spring has finally showed up here in Alberta!
Now I'm excited for a green house trip to pick out some pretty flowers to plant in my flower pots.
I wish I was more of a gardener because
I know it's so mentally/spiritually/emotionally good and healing, but I struggle with gardening/plant care.
I purchased an Easter lily a week ago, Sunday, and today it's going in the compost/trash.
Is that normal? I don't think that's normal. I thought I could keep it alive a little longer than a week!
It looked great when I brought it home but I think I over watered it from day one.
Good thing, coloring is also great therapy!! Cus, I do a little bit of that.

If you have a flowery creation be sure to link up and play along with us at TCCB and you could be the next random winner to receive your choice of 3 Ching Chou Kuik images.
Have fun deciding on just 3 though!
I can't wait to color up more of these dreamy images.
Thanks for stopping in today! I always look forward to your visits and comments!
