Bad Hare Day-DT Card for The Corrosive Challenge Blog

Only two ways to add the grommet ribbon and I staple it on upside down! Of course!

Paper:Afternoon Muse by Glitz
Barbwire stamp from a CTMH set

Embellishments by Prima Junkyard Findings and TH. The spark plug reads, "Be Happy"
Hello my darlings! Thanks for stopping in today!
I'm trying to be quick like a bunny with today's post because I'm getting ready for another weekend of glamping.
When we were at the lake last weekend we sure enjoyed the nights around the fire. You could really feel that things have started to cool off but we should still get a few more enjoyable weekends.
This is the last long weekend of the Summer, and the kids/grandkids are planning to join us for a sleep-over in the glamper.
I'm planning for a ton of fun!

Today I'm sharing the card I made for the new challenge at The Corrosive Challenge Blog.
Our sponsor this fortnight is Meljen Designs.
The image I've chosen to work with is Bad Hare Day!
How fun right!
Our new theme for this challenge is One For The Boys.
Create a masculine project, something for a guy of any age.
Then be sure to link up with us at TCCB for the chance to win 4 digis of your choice.

My bestie took me out for dinner last night and gave me a belated birthday present.
Part of my the gift was this set of Sennelier Water Colors!!
I had been looking for these for months! My bestie found them for me!
I was soooo excited to get this fabulous set of paints and I of course had to try them out right away so I used them to paint the background of my Bad Hare image.
Love, Love, Love, these paints for doing backgrounds so you'll probably be seeing a lot more of that kind of background coloring/painting from me.
I can't wait to try them out on actual water color paper.
That's it for me, I'm out of here.
Hope you have an enjoyable weekend!

Dilly Beans-Elly Framed-DT Card for The Corrosive Challenge Blog

Hello!
Today I'm sharing the card I made for the new challenge up at The Corrosive Challenge Blog.
Our sponsor this fortnight is Dilly Beans Stamps.

 Dilly Beans Digi Stamps

I've chosen to work with this wonderful image from Dilly Beans called,

Our challenge theme is B-Unique.
Use three items starting with the letter B(bling, brads, bows, blooms, blossoms, buttons, etc). Get creative.
I would have loved to have been more creative with this card but I didn't realize until I had finished it that the challenge was for 3 B's not 1. Thankfully I had added Bling! I managed to squeak by with Blue(her lovely blue hair) and Big of course. I love her Big Blue eyes.
That's what I love about ART...everyone will have a different interpretation of what it means.
Yeah, that's my story and I'm sticking to it!
Those are my 3 B's, Bling, Blue, Big!
The paper is from Little Yellow Bicycle-Fern & Forest
The sentiment on the  pre stamped paper reads,
Laughter is timeless,
Imagination has no age,
Dreams are forever.
I added diamond glaze over her eyes, and over the words, Laughter-Imagination-Dreams.
This is probably the least embellished card I've made but with those beautiful big eyes it didn't need anything else.
Be sure to link up with us at TCCB and you'll have the chance to win some fabulous digis!

B-Unique! Hugs!
Hmmm, I just may have found my tag line(that above)

Let's Party! Delicious Doodles-Horrorscope-Cancer

Hello!
I'm having a somewhat relaxing Sunday and found time to share another card I made using an awesome image from Delicious Doodles called Horrorscope Cancer.
How brilliant is that play on words!
I love working with Teri's images. Her digis have such outstanding shading already added to them that they make everyone's coloring look extra fabulous!
This is the card I made for one of my son in law, Darryl's birthday last September.
Yayyy that I finally got around to blogging it!
His birthday is in late September and the appropriate zodiac sign would of course be
Horrorscope Libra but I'm a Cancer and I absolutely love this creature!! I love creatures!!

I added some fun metal embellishments from Tim Holtz, and some Prima Junkyard's faucet wheels.
The paper as well as the film strip are also from a Tim Holtz.
The Happy Birthday and Let's Party sentiment are from SU sets.
Here's the colors I used:
Just about all of the fluorescent colors which I love!
Creature: Y11,RV34,R85,R20,RV25,FBG2,FYG2,FRV1,FYR1,
Background shadow: C00,C0,C3,0

I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:
Delicious Doodles Challenges Anything goes/fav colors

Thanks for stopping by! Hugs!
This is Isabella's favorite spot to sleep...right under my chair, even though she has a lovely dog bed to sleep in on the other side of my chair.

Birthdays Balloons and Puppys-DT card for The Corrosive Challenge Blog

Hi friends! Today I'm sharing the card I made for the new challenge at The Corrosive Challenge Blog.
Our sponsor this fortnight is Sami Stamps

The theme for our challenge is BIRTHDAYS.
Simply make a birthday card, any kind for anyone, and enter it for your chance to win!  Please stop by our design team's personal blogs to and leave some love!
Happy Birthday to Regan, who is celebrating her birthday this month. If you stop by her own personal blog she has candy.
Sami Stamps images are so happy!  I chose this fun puppy image, Balloon Pup to work with weeks ago never imagining I would be coloring it up using my own puppy as inspiration!!(more about that later on)
The sentiment is from a SU set and it reads, Happy Birthday(call when it's time for cake.)
The paper is from a Bo Bunny pack, Enchanted(disc.)
I've never colored fur before so this was a bit of a challenge and something that needs practice.
I added diamond glaze to the balloon and sprinkled some glitterfetti over top.

I've spent most of the Summer so far out at the lake glamping with Barry. We will go out on a Thursday/Friday, stay till Tuesday/Wednesday, then spend a couple of days at home doing wash and restocking supplies.
Our lake lot is only an hour away and it's a really nice ride out there on the bike.
During one of these wonderful weekendish get aways, Barry suggested we go visit our friends in Victoria on Vancouver Island.
( A 13 hour trip)
That would have been a fabulous road trip on the bike but the day we had decided to leave, it was raining.
I don't mind and even expect some wet weather on a bike trip but starting out and  leaving in the rain doesn't thrill me so we took the car.
I love the Island!
The friends, food, and atmosphere make me feel like I could live there.
While we were there we got to partake in the "famous" Paint-in on Moss Street.
That's not something you see every day and it was wonderful to see such amazing local talent.
This is what's at the end of Moss Street...
The Sea.
Taken with my phone

We had a fabulous time away, visiting with our good friends, J and H.
After a day back at home, we were headed back out to the lake lot/glamper.
At this point I'm not even sure where I am when I wake up in the morning and have to stop and think about it as my eyes open.
I should also mention that while I was home for two days I had the pleasure of taking two Finnabair classes in the beginning of July.
Right here at my LSS, The Inked Stamper!!!
I will be sure to share and show you the canvases I created in a future post
. By far the best classes I've ever taken and it was so awesome to meet Anna!

I'm thinking, my Summer has been abundantly fabulous! Then Barry suggested that we should get our puppy... the one we've always talked about getting...and lets do it right now...as in the very next day!
He had been secretly looking at puppy adds on Kijiji and found a litter of  Yorkie/Lhasa Apso puppies ready for forever homes.
He showed me this pup's fun little face and I fell in love!
The very next day we went to get her and brought her back out to the glamper with us for a week.
Meet Isabella, our new furr baby!
She moves so quickly it's hard to get a clear pic

Dressed up for the Long Weekend festivities at the glampground
I know right!? Adorable!!

I'm looking forward to seeing your birthday creations so be sure to play along with us for another week at TCCB and you could win a $12 gift certificate from Sami Stamps.
Hope you're Summer has been enjoyable!
Hugs!
