Capricorn Portrait-DT Card for the Corrosive Challenge Blog

Hello my darlings!
Today I'm sharing the card I made for the new challenge at The Corrosive Challenge Blog.
Our theme this fortnight is Splash of color. Create a white on white project with a splash of color (skin and hair tones are allowed as well)
We're delighted to be sponsored by Sassy Design Studios.
If you're looking for classy, and sassy digis you have found them!
I've used this beautiful image called Capricorn Portrait.
 Isn't she lovely!
When I first received this image to work with, I thought Capricorn Portrait had wings, but at closer inspection I realized she had a mermaid tail.
 Say what?
A zodiac sign with a mermaid tail?
A hybrid! Half goat, half mermaid...How did I not know about this? I love Astronomy!
Knowing that God named the stars, and placed them, (Psalm 147:4) has always made me interested and curious about the sun signs and the similar personality traits of those people all born under the same stars,
Mankind  is always looking for signs...we just need to look up apparently.
I of course googled Capricorn and found out that the ancient zodiac maps showed Capricorn as a Sea Goat.
Who knew? I had only seen Capricorn (December 22-January 29) as the modern mountain goat.
I love this artistic version of Capricorn.
My bestie is a Capricorn so she'll probably be the one to enjoy all this white on white with a splash of color card.
I used some white glitter cardstock for matting and a ton of white die cuts, layered with cheesecloth and lace.
The flowers had brown centers but I used gesso to white them out and then applied a little soft gel, and sprinkled clear beads here, and there.
The gold button moon and stars were also swiped with gesso and I couldn't resist adding some micro rhinestones into the grooves of the moon.
The sentiment,
"What each of us becomes is fashioned from the stardust of our dreams"
is from a SU set called Stardust.
How perfect!

Be sure to link up, and play along with us and you could win 4 sassy images of your choice.
