Kraftin Kimmie DT Call- Nerissa Mermaid

Hi friends!
Today I'm sharing the card I made for my daughter Nerissa's 30th birthday.
Her birthday was at the end of August and she'll finally be getting this card the next time I see her.
I started putting it together, and finished it last weekend while she was over but I told her she couldn't have it yet because I had to take pics of it for my blog. She totally understood though.
Last year I didn't get around to making her a card at all so being a month late this year is a huge improvement!
Of course I had to use this Kraftin Kimmie Stamp named Nerissa. Isn't she lovely! The name Nerissa means, child of the sea.
I love the art work of Anni Rodrigue and she designs the Moonlight Whispers for
KKS.
KKS is celebrating a 4th birthday all week long with a party on facebook and a ton of rubber on sale so if you also love these stamps it's a good time to stock up. Kimmie also has a DT call going on, as well as a few other challenges. I decided now was the time to throw my hat in the ring and try out for the DT with this card.
One of the DT's I create for is taking a break at the end of October so since I'm going to have more time to create, and also because of the fact that I just happened to have two cards to blog this week that qualify for the current DT challenge it just seems like it's destiny to try out!
Ha! Wouldn't that be something...me a Krafty Girl!?
Since I began blogging my desire has been to be a designer for those whimsical stamps. And with 70 KKS in my collection it would be a perfect opportunity for me to color up more than the five I've only done so far. Oh vey!
So many of those artists that I aspire to are on this team. Cheryl, Melanie, Alice and Alyce. Just to mention a few because they're all fabulous! Who could argue with that right?
The paper is from a Prima pack called Firefly. It's such an awesome paper collection I don't know why it was retired so soon.
I also used some sea shell ribbon, and a hoarded TH Ornate Plate.
The sentiment in the plate is also a KKS from the Mermaid Sentiments set.
I filled the plate with glossy accents and added a few beads and sprinkles, then filled it up some more.
I wasn't sure if it was going to dry crystal clear but surprisingly it did.
This is one of the cards I'm entering into the Kraftin Kimmie Birthday Challenge.
Yes, I wanna be a Krafty Girl! Wish me the best!
Hugs!

What a sparkly mermaid! So pretty and shiny! Love the frantage (I need some of that!)and the way the metal tag thingy turned out. Very clever to add the beads in it while wet. Good luck with the DT call.

WOW!!! This is breath-taking, Debora! Your coloring is beautiful and I love all the pearls! Good luck with the DT call, but I think your talent speaks for itself! They would be crazy not to select you! :-)
